Best family trip ever!

This was our family’s first time in London and our must-visit list had the London Eye and Sea Life Aquarium on it. My husband couldn’t miss the panoramic views from the London Eye, and our two sons are obsessed with sharks and fish, so I was glad we were able to get entry tickets for both. Our sons were super stoked to see so many different species in one place, and seeing penguins in person was also a real treat!

Unbeatable sunset views

My friends and I were looking to fill our weekend with something fun, so we were excited to find this combo ticket. We specifically wanted to catch the sunset on the London Eye, and we are so glad we visited right close to nightfall! The colors were beautiful, and the city looked amazing below us. We also really enjoyed seeing all the colorful fish and underwater creatures in the aquarium. This was the most fun weekend we had in a while, would definitely recommend it!

Sea Life London Aquarium contains 2,000,000 litres of water!

Corals are a type of animal

The Sea Life London Aquarium is the home of the UK’s largest coral reef display, but did you know that corals are animals? Even though they look like a rock or a plant, corals are a type of animal that comes from the same family as jellyfish and sea anemones.

The total volume of tanks at Sea Life London Aquarium is over 2,000,000 litres

The tanks at Sea Life London Aquarium contain more than 530,000 gallons (2,000,000 litres) of water! Spread over 20,000 square feet, this huge amount of water is needed for over 500 different species of marine creatures, including fish, sharks, turtles, seahorses, jellyfish, rays, and octopi.

32 pods represent the 32 London boroughs

The London Eye has 32 capsules and each of them represents one of London’s 32 boroughs. You might also notice that the capsules are not numbered in the usual way. They’re numbered 1 to 12 and 14 to 33 to avoid the unlucky number 13. This is a common practice in the UK, with most restaurants not having a table numbered 13.
